From introducing the original site (Phase 1) to the client and its development potential, to writing the brief, to detail design, to construction and occupation. Phase 2 to identify the potential for incorporating the neighbouring site to writing the brief, to detail design, to construction and occupation.
Over Phases 1 and 2 a total of 84 no. flats being a mix of market rent, sheltered and very sheltered flats. Also including a bespoke flat for a blind person. Finally detailed design proposals were prepared to create one flat as an assessment flat to assess the specific abilities and care requirements of individuals leaving institutional care. The flat incorporating a broad range of potential aids to assist independent living.
