An existing client – Gordon Enterprise Trust.
The client was acting on behalf of a small village community anxious to retain the Kirk. Since the Kirk was no longer used by the Church it was destined to fall into disrepair and be demolished.
The building was acquired for the community with the intention it be used for a broad range of community events. In that, revenue would be created to help with its care and maintenance.
The works to include a range of repair works to the building envelope as well as stripping out earlier internal alterations. This therefore created a large meeting place complete with gallery.
At the same time enhancing railings were installed at the entrance, the bell tower rebuilt and historic stones within the grounds identified and recorded.
