To work with the client in identifying and negotiating the acquisition of a former print works building. Thereafter to establish the brief – to detail design – to construction and occupation.
A substantial alteration of this very old single storey stone end terrace building plus stone barrel vaulted basement. Substantial structural alterations to cut through stone barrel vault to create appropriate links between ground and basement floors. Cellerage created in basement.
To create bar, restaurant, kitchen and toilet facilities at ground level. Full interior design and fit-out included.
The development timescale was very short since the beneficial trading period starting four weeks before Christmas had to be met. That was achieved.
