Footnotes:

The designs made extensive use of stone to match the existing.  The primary steel frame was our bespoke design.  The designs for the steelwork were sent electronically to the fabricators whose computer controlled lasers cut the steel to pattern.  The overlaid timber structure as designed by us was manufactured and installed by a specialist joinery company.  By creating a screen wall from the house across the property we linked all of the new structures into a unified whole with the house.  We also created a boundary between the public frontage and the very private grounds.  Behind that screen wall a cloister was created which provided the clients with a sheltered link to the various parts and a covered area within which to sit.
